The title says it all. Donald Maass of the Donald Maass literary agency has made his book, "The Career Novelist," available as a free PDF download. It should be pretty amazing, if it's anything like Maass' other books "Writing the Breakout Novel," and his "Writing the Breakout Novel Workbook."
For a while now, J.A. Konrath's "A Newbie's Guide to Publishing" has been up for grabs as a free, downloadable e-book. The book is a compilation of his best blog posts about marketing/publishing. Konrath is a marketing genius. Must I say more?
As for fiction, you can find two novels and one anthology available for free reading - but not download - at TrunkNovels.com.
J.A. Konrath has free PDF files of three of his unpublished novels, and an anthology of his published short stories (scroll down for the PDF's.)
Jim Butcher, author of "The Dresden Files," has his short story Restoration of Faith and Vignette up for free reading on his website. Plus, he's got the first three chapters of White Night up for reads.
I would think that's enough to digest in one day. However, if you're looking for something a little faster than a PDF, check out this video of Matt, the guy with the funny dance. It makes most people laugh. It makes me inspired. Oh well. Enjoy the vid, everyone.

Wow. Great tips and links. Thanks!
Welcome :) Thanks for "hopping over," btw. It's always fun having another AWer around.
